Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.
January 2020
Please enjoy the inaugural thryve New Shoots newsletter, kicking off 2020.
2019 has been a good year for thryve. We brought four interns onboard and subsequently hired all of them as full-time staff. These four youngsters show the drive and passion that South Africa has, and they are a great addition to the thryve family. We also expanded our operations into Canada. Neer Rama, our Force Solutions Product Manager, has established an office in Toronto, supported by our local teams.
Yet there were challenges as well and, for many, 2019 didn’t match their expectations. But that reminds me of the above quote. We can’t change the past, but we can work towards the future. For thryve, this means a 2020 where we will continue to bring new ideas and opportunities to our current and future customers. Life isn’t about being ideal but always striving for the ideal.
2020 is an exciting year. It once defined the far-flung future for the 20th century. To many, the world of the twenties and beyond was pure science fiction. In a way, that’s become real. Connected cars, talking speakers, self-landing space rockets, genetic medicine… we live in an incredible world.
But excellence always arrives with higher challenges. This is where South Africa starts 2020 – a country with significant challenges that also reflect its underlying excellence. Hopefully, this is the year and decade when that excellence begins to shine. It’s a chance to get things right and build on previous successes.
thryve’s New Shoots newsletter is another way for us to bring you along on our journey. Here we will highlight interesting stories and our achievements. Enjoy our curated selection below and join us on making 2020 a watershed moment.
Please have a terrific new year,
